Title: Payroll/HR Administrator

Responsible To: HR Director

Co-ordinate With: Directors, Finance & Administrative Team, Managers

Main Purpose: Assume ownership of the HR department

 

Principal Responsibilities

General

  • Ensure that personnel contractual records are correct filed and periodically reviewed in relevance to job description, terms of employment and salary and all employee/Employer information is gathered and distributed correctly.
  • Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Develops, advises on and implements policies relating to the effective use of human resources (HR) within the organisation with first responsibility for wages.
  • Ensure You are conversant with relevant employment law, Health and Safety regulations, human rights issues and company procedures and implement them when dealing with employees
  • To ensure that the Staff salaries/wages are calculated correctly, processed and paid on time weekly/monthly to each employee.
  • To ensure that all computerised records are kept correctly and all returns and payments are made to the relevant bodies on time
  • Ensuring disciplinary rules and procedure are followed and adhered to notifying the HR Director and relevant line management immediately of any disciplinary action to be taken as detailed in disciplinary procedure
  • Consulting with HR Director all facts before progressing to, or beyond stage one of the company’s disciplinary procedure

 

Human Resources

 

  • Motivate and promote team spirit among staff and develop a good working environment and an atmosphere conducive to the highest standard of workmanship, customer service and sales.
  • Ensure all staff follows procedures.
  • Ensure all managers carry out staff reviews/ appraisals within agreed time limits.
  • Ensure Due Diligence procedures are followed by all staff.
  • Learn and seek advice with regard to relevant employment law, Health and Safety regulations, human rights issues, and company procedures and implement them when dealing with employees.
  • Ensure attendance, timekeeping and breaks are adhered to as agreed with centre owner and any problems or changes from the agreed rota are recorded and reported to the Directors immediately.
  • Ensure that all personnel records are correct, filed and periodically reviewed in relevance to job description, terms of employment and salary and all employee/Employer information is gathered and distributed correctly.
  • Treat with total confidentiality and do not use or disclose to any third party any information or personal data which you may acquire.
    • Disciplinary rules and procedure are followed and adhered to
    • Notifying the Directors/ line management immediately of any disciplinary action to be taken as detailed in the disciplinary procedure.

 

Miscellaneous

  • To comply with all company policy and rules.
  • Any other functions that may be required by the Directors (within competency).
  • To deputise for the directors in their absence to ensure that the business needs and that of its employees are always to the fore.
  • Full clean driving licence is mandatory with this position.
